Judith is an independent artist with a rich performing history as a choreographer, performer, and improviser. 

The Berlin-based director (Havana, Cuba) has worked with Sasha Waltz & Guest, (2011-2014); Deborah Hay, (2012); Trisha Brown Dance Company, (2006-2009); DD Dorvillier, (2002); David Zambrano, (1997), Mal Pelo Company, (1997-1999); and DanzAbierta Company, (1991-1996). In 2010 she established the JSR Company in New York City, focuses on multidisciplinary and site-specific performances.


In 2012 she started a choreographic collaboration with Edivaldo Ernesto, “NOISE" their new duet is touring 2018-2019. Since arriving in Europe, JSR Company premiered in Berlin: "Micro Revolution", (2015); ”Sebastian Schunke Meets Judith Sánchez Ruíz”; The improvisational project "Mirror Equation” and "Encaje", her most recent work - on hypocrisy, drawing from the diaries of writer Anaïs Nin, plays with two concepts she has been exploring in her research for a while: « Diary exercise » and « Radio exercise ». Premiering at 13th Guangdong Dance Festival, Guangzhou, China, (2017), and recently touring the US, presenting the solo + A spontaneous duet honoring the memory of Trisha Brown featuring Jodick Melnick and Lance Gries, & music by Hahn Rowe.

"Your Own GOD".  Improvisation 

This workshop will trigger your uncomfortable zone by looking for the unknown exploration of different approaches of movement focusing in how to keep the state of research, awareness, and curiosity, learning how to develop movement in composition with space and in a relationship with others.

Also the participant will find its  own movement, finding precision, and wildness all together but overall, Live in their dance!

This class train´s dancers for: technical functionality, creative instinct, high performance, and transformation.



Lívia MM Balážová, contemporary performer born in Slovakia.

Based in San José/Costa Rica and Slovakia.

Studied at the conservatory J.L.Bellu in Banská Bystrica/Slovakia, at SEAD Salzburg experimental dance academy in Salzburg/Austria, at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels/Belgium.


During her studies worked with portuguese choreographer Rui Horta “Talk show” 2011 and with french dance company Kubilai Khan investigations “Tiger Tiger burning bright”.

From November 2012 she joined the belgian company Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus first with revival “What the body does not remember” and in 2015 the creation of performance ”Speak low if you speak Love” untill 2017.

Performed her solo work “čerešne “ at solo festival in Portugal and “ čerešne* ” in Brussels/Belgium.


In November 2015 created the performing art dance company Colectivo Priekopník Veverička together with Zebastián Méndez Marín with the debut performance “El Gato de Schrödinger” . In March 2016 premiered “#whateveristrendingnow“ a performance for street or unconventional spaces, subsequently in April the postapocalyptic performance “Prach/Polvo/Dust“ and in April of the following year 2017 their next performance “Alternative Facts”.


Collaborated with costarican creator Luis Alfredo Sierra Chacon in Panama “Este Barco” 2017. Thanks to a fund from Iberescena program. Has co-created with slovak artistic colective MimoOs “DoDna” 2016, “Millenial Magic Mirror” 2018 and with artistic group Med a prach/Honey and dust “EU.GENUS” 2018.


Also has shared her movement practice workshops Mindcross and Multipartnering-Infinite Synapses together with Zebastián in

Slovakia, Check Republic, Hungary, Russia, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Portugal, Belgium, Germany.




Mindcross is a practice that circles around three main goals:

To achieve a playful mind and colorful imagination through the discovery of your inner creature. She finds a big inspiration for movement in children games. Since her early age and she believes that games have the magic of opening new channels for learning. Games also help to develop social skills through interaction negotiation and resolution.


The colorful imagination is deeply related with the playful mind. They feed from each other.  The more you play the more creative you get, and when you are creative you come to think of more ways to play. So it is like adding colors to your imagination palette.

Colorful imagination is the guide for authentic movement in which we are constantly exploring the depth of the sight hearing touch smell and taste of the surrounding world and the word fantasy. The inner creature is born in an environment without judgements that allows the instinct to take over stereotyped thoughts and movements. Imagine to shuffle your senses to go for a journey of unpredicted movements.

This would guide your body though new movement patterns giving way to a new creature within you, and by bringing this being to limited spaces situations or meetings. You will bring more colors to your imagination. With everyday practice the behaviors of our creature will become more and more natural to us.

Independent dancer, teacher and choreographer. Winner in 2014 of the National Award in Costa Rica as Best Performer. She has being dancing an collaborating since 2014 with the dance company Colectivo Cla in several pieces "La pequena  muerte","Ilusion de la noche", "Verde Augustina" and "Champan Carusso". And with  other companies and choreographers such as Anton Lacky, Eleonore Valere- Lacky, Jimmy Ortiz, Martin Kilvaldy, Andrea Catania, Marlyn Attie and the latest collaboration with Shanti Vera (Cuatro x Cuatro) with the piece "Disolver".


She has being giving workshops and regular dance and improvisation classes (MIXSHIFT) in Costa Rica   since 2012  to the formation program Conservatorio El  Barco  ( As an assistant of the director of the program Jimmy Ortiz, 2012-2013) also to the formation program of ¨Danza Abierta ¨of the UCR (University of Costa Rica) directed by Luis Piedra,  to the dance company  " Danza Universitaria " of the UCR (University of Costa Rica), to the National Dance Company of Costa Rica, also teaching in private dance companies and academies like Inquieta Res, The black company amount others   in Costa Rica. She has being internationally teaching her workshop MIXSHIFT contemporary dance and improvisation for dance festivals and programs in Panama ( FEC Fundacion Espacio Creativo, Steps academy, Xielo Gramo Dance ) Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Austria  and Russia.


As choreographer she  has being researching in the improvisation work  and as result  has created the solo works: ¨Anonima¨ , " Anonima Improvisada" in the context of the dance Festival  Solodos ( winner of a scholarship for the camping  Moving Borders) "Entre La Locura y la Belleza" (  that has being award in Costa Rica for best performance)   ¨Sehnsucht¨,and her latest production " UpComing ."

Works that has  performed in Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Guatemala and Russia. Also has created pieces for the dance  program UNA Danza Joven of the National University of Costa Rica, to the Panamanian dance company Xielo Gramo Danse and to the Mexican company Engrama in colaborration with the dancer and choreographer Andrea Catania.


She graduated in 2012 from the dance instituted S.E.A.D (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) in Salzburg Austria, studying with teachers such as Martin Kilvady, Roostlestroot, Libby Far, Nicolas Vladislav, Les Slovack, Christine Gouzelis, Paul Blackman amount others. Also did part of her studieds  at Conservatory El Barco, in Costa Rica with guest teachers and choreographers like David Zambrano, Roberto Olivan, Alexis Eupierre, Pierre Rigal, Damian Munoz,  Jochen Roller amount others.

As part of her education she studied as well Olympic gymnastic for 14 years, did formal formation for classical ballet and formation as  Pilates teacher.

(MIXSHIFT) Construction and Deconstruction of Movement

The class starts playing with dynamics for increasing the body strength and stamina through specific exercises, followed by a guided improvisation that will take you to different states, playing with musicality, textures and sensations.


Then, movement phrases with floor dynamics, falls, acrobatics and use of the arms with emphasis on directions and where the body is in space, using the maximum of physicality. Once this phrase is created it will be deconstructed in different  directions, speeds and others.


By this exploration you will transform the language learned in classroom to to your own language, using a foreign body language to integrate it into your interpretive and creative self.



Alleyne Dance

Sadé Alleyne formally trained as an athlete for Enfield and Haringey in London. Her first experience of dance was with Hip Hop companies Boy Blue Entertainment and Dance 2Xcess. Her skills then stretch to Afro- Caribbean, African, Kathak, Latin and circus Skills (fire, grinding and stilts). Sadé trained at the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology 2003-05 and Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) based in Leeds 2005-08, completing a BA (Hons) Degree. Since graduating Sadé has worked with Vincent Mantsoe, Luyanda Sidiya, Andlie Sotyia, Douglas Thorpe, Akiko Kitamura and Gregory Vuyani Maqoma, Tavaziva Dance, IJAD Dance and Vocab Dance Company, both UK and international performances. Sadé has worked as a Performer and Rehearsal Director for companies Ace Dance and Music (Birmingham) and State of Emergency (London).


Sadé joined Akram Khan Company in 2012-2016 for his productions Vertical Road, iTOMi, Kaash and London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony Abide With Me. Sadé also leads many workshops internationally as part of AKC and involved in the re-staging of his past productions. Sadé was part of the first re-creation of “iTOMi” for Portuguese ballet company CNB. 


Sadé was a performer of Antoine Marc’s Award Winning Independent Film Descent, Remains and the production EssE. She was an artistic mentor for the BBC Young Dancer 2017 competition in London. Sadé joined Wim Vandekeybus in 2017. She is touring Go Figure Out Yourself and will Premiere the Companies New Production TrapTown in Autumn 2018.



Sadé is Co- artistic director of Alleyne Dance based in London. Partnered with her twin sister, over the past four years they have built and developed the company, striving for high quality and excellence as they deliver their two main objectives; performance and education work. Alleyne Dance Workshops are taught internationally in over 18 countries through festivals, institutions, companies and venues. Alleyne Dance has created 10 commissions in over 5 counties. Alleyne Dance is currently touring their first work A Nights Game Internationally and UK.

Dynamics, Rhythm & Texture  (Alleyne Dance)

This is a physical contemporary class, which will involve strong, complex and technical sequences in and out of the floor, focusing on quality, initiation, performance and stamina. Throughout the sessions, improvisation will also be explored as part of self development, stemming from a physical intention.


The significant factors for the workshop are to develop the dancers´ physicality, flexibility, technique, build awareness for textures in movement, stimulate the creative mind, driving from passion, musicality and honesty.



Artist interested in movement-space-body-time-state of presence and listening. Founder of the company PROYECTO al MARGEN (2010) and the training program TALLERES al MARGEN (2013).

Graduated from the Professional School of Dance of Mazatlán (EPDM). She has presented her work in the US, Hong Kong, Spain and important festivals in Mexico. In 2014 she was invited to make a residency with Laura Aris at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 2017 she assited the TANZ + MUSIK laboratory organized by the Goethe Institut Mexiko as part of the Mexico-Germany dual year activities. From 2004 to 2010 she was part of Delfos contemporary dance company performing all over the world.

Since 2016, she has been creating and teaching the workshop-laboratory Present Body together with the musician Diego Martínez Lanz in various institutions, festivals and independent venues in Mexico and di erent countries (EU, Hong Kong, Spain). The laboratory seeks to encourage an active corporal-stage practice, where the student is responsible for its process and not only imitates forms.

In 2014, she designed and taught the 2nd audition class of the Contemporary Dance Production Center (CEPRODAC). In recent years she has participated teaching in various collective training laboratories such as ILEGAL, La Palabra Acción (Mexico) and Encuentro de Cuerpos held in Barcelona, Spain (2017)

She has received support from PECDA Jalisco in the Individual Development Program (2005-2006) and Young Creators (2008-2009), Scenic Creators from FONCA 2013 and 2016, as well as the support of Cultura Jalisco through the Proyecta program (2015 and 2017)

She currently lives in Guadalajara where she has been training Aikido (Japanese martial art) for ve years, studying the Master in Environmental Education at the University of Guadalajara, working in the Center for Environmental Culture and Educational Research (CCAIE) and Teaching Performing Arts in the Communication and Audiovisual Arts program of ITESO university

Life … contradictions in movementAt the moment when there is no contradiction or movement, we die. How can we start a process and not just start it? How can we be willing to respond and not react? How can we expand our capacity to be preset and listen? How can we be one with the other and not one against the other?, how to avoid falling prisoners in the manner of a teacher?

These are some of the questions that have led us to the search for exercises that raise an active practice, where the student is responsible for their processes and not just imitate forms. 

We invite you to a space where body and mind work together transforming one another, where you become aware of the importance of a personal practice that makes visible the invisible and clarifies the impulses of a body that can be moved by space and others . Live music will be an essential and constant companion in this laboratory.




Lali Ayguadé was born in Barcelona in 1980. She joined the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona for dance in 1996 and after a year, decided to train in PARTS (Belgium). In her fourth year, she created the solo “Silence” coached by Wim Vandekeybus.
After her training, she joined Publik Eye Company in Denmark, directed at that time by Carmen Mehnert. In 2003, Lali joined the Akram Khan Company as a full time member creating and performing in the productions: “Kaash”, “Ma”, “Bahok” (together with the National Ballet of China), “Vertical Road” and “Confluence” collaborating with Nitin Sawhney and Ricardo Nova.

She has worked with Roberto Olivan (Enclave Dance Company) in the production “Homeland” and with Hofesh Shechter in the productions “In your rooms”, “Cult” and “The Art of not looking back”. She also worked with Marcos Morau from La Veronal (Spanish Dance National Award in 2013 as Best Choreographer) in the piece “Portland” and with the contemporary circus company Baró d’Evel with whom she performed “Mazut” and “Besties”.

In 2005, Lali choreographed “Twice Read” together with the Slovak dancer and choreographer Anton Lachky (one of the founders of Les Slovaks dance collective). Between 2007 and 2009, she choreographed other small works with the acrobat and clown Joan Ramon Graell (director of Circus Association in Barcelona). In 2012, she created the trio “Little Me” with the Korean dancer Young Jin Kim and Joan Català for the Salmon Festival in Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona; and for the Ramon Llull’s anniversary, she created “Encontre” with Joan Català and Jordi Molina. In 2013, she created two short duets: “Incognito” and “Saba”.

In 2015, she created her first full-length work with four performers, “Kokoro”, co-produced by Mercat de les Flors and Temporada. The following year, she co-created “De Camino al Otro” with the acrobat Julian Sicard.

Lali is currently working on “iU an Mi” co-produced by Mercat de les Flors, Bolzano Danza Festival and Temporada Alta.
In 2010, she was nominated as “Exceptional dancer” for the Critics awards of London, and in 2014 as “Best Creator”. In 2016, she was also nominated as “Best Dancer” for the “Recomana.cat” Critics awards in Barcelona.
She starred the short movie “TIMECODE” which was awarded with the Palme d’Or at Festival de Cannes, the Goya Award, the Gaudi Award and was nominated at the Oscars 2016 among others.

Lali shares her technique and the investigation linked to her creations around the world through workshops.



From Lightness to Gravity

The end of the workshop is the use of the floor by dancing with special emphasis in the feet as the support of movement, identifying where is the weight and where is the freedom through phrases and improvisation. Also from the use of rhythm and the voice you will research in how can you get to physical theatre state.

Originally from South Tyrol in Italy, Marion is a professional dancer/instructor based in Berlin, Germany. She received her professional dance training at Varium in Barcelona and Iwanson Contemporary Dance School in Munich. As a teacher she has been working in several schools and festivals in Italy, Spain, Costa Rica, Russia, Portugal and Germany a.o at Ballettförderzentrum Nürnberg, Kari-Tanzhaus, Deltebre Dansa, Academy Dancer Russia, Varium Barcelona, Marameo, Dock 11, Etage, Danceworks and Tanzfabrik (Berlin).


Marion has collaborated as a dancer with choreographers and companies such as Francisco Córdova in the piece "To be", Stella Zannou in the piece “Strange”, Sonia Rodriguez, performing “Mabel”, ADN-Dialect in the pieces “Zeitzone”, “Urban Shaman and “L’affaire Wettstein”, Eldon Pulak in "The Wetting Party" and as a guestdancer of Weedance Company. Her solo-work "The Ripe and ruin" and her group-pieces "Shell Shock" and "Impromptu" have been performed at several theaters and festivals in Costa Rica, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. She is co-founder of the KpiqA-Collective and CuerpOCOllectivo and performed the duet “Eight”, and the trio "Nefelibata" in Spain, Italy, Russia and Germany.


Recently Marion got invited as a young emerging choreographer to “Certamen Coreografíco de Madrid, Paso a 2” to present “Eight”. For her last pieces „Impromptu“ and „Shell Shock“ with performances at Tanzherbst Kempten and Alps Move Festival Italy she received funding and support from "Amt für Kultur Südtirol" and Region Trient-Südtirol“.


In 2014 Marion was part of “EX-IN”, a one month intensive workshop with David Zambrano learning Flying Low and Passing Through Technique and took many years seminars practising and teaching this technique.

From Inside to Outside

This is a contemporary dance training with emphasis on floor work.

We start the class by opening our channels of awareness. The warm-up is focused on passing through the whole body and expanding our flexibility and strength. We use the playfulness in our movement to connect to the natural flow of breath.


With the help of exercises in different constellations - in a group, with a partner and alone we listen to the weight of our body and direct it through space. An important aspect of the training, is the attention to the momentum in movement and on integrating changes of dynamic and musicality in short movement phrases.

As techniques of inspiration for this class Marion uses a lot the principles of Flying Low technique by David Zambrano as well as release technique mixed with her personal investigation. She likes to establish a collective mind and body inside the class to enhance the group power giving an energetic push to the individual source of creativity.
